A building survey tends to go into more detail about the construction principles of a building as well as giving in depth advice on repairs and maintenance in the coming years. A HomeBuyers survey is based on a traffic light system and tends to give more of an overview of the defects found and repairs required. Generally speaking, a building survey is for older properties or ones that have been extensively extended.
