Surrey’s housing stock is unusually varied, and the survey you need depends on it. Inter-war and post-war suburban houses are usually well served by a Level 2 HomeBuyer Report. Older riverside and village properties, anything extended or altered, and houses near the flood plain are better suited to a Level 3 Building Survey, which goes further into structure, damp, roof coverings and the cost of putting things right.
