Specific Defect Report

Our Specific Defect Report is customised to each client.

The specific defect report is a detailed analysis and advice focusing on specific areas or elements of a building. Unlike an RICS Survey the specific defect report will focus on a defined number of areas, rather than the whole building.

What is included in a specific defect report?

Our specific defect reports are conducted by our Chartered Surveyors who will provide independent advice and recommendations. Specific defect reports commonly cover:

  • Cracking and distortions to buildings.
  • Condensation
  • Rising Dampness
  • Penetrating Dampness
  • Leaks
  • Defective workmanship
  • Defects to a specific part of the building.
  • Insulation

The report will include our observations, descriptions and diagnosis of the problem or probable cause of the problems. Along with details of actions that should be undertaken.

A specific defect report may also help to resolve an issue which has been unsuccessfully repaired or where mixed information is being provided. We can offer independent advice.

For detailed advice on what sort of survey is best, please contact us and our Chartered Surveyors will be happy to discuss your issues and advise on the best course of action.
